Zac & Sian: A little more us
Meet Zac and Sian, building their dream home wasn’t just about four walls and a roof—it was about creating a space that felt effortlessly them. A home where natural light floods in, their dog has plenty of room to roam, and their future feels like something straight out of a sitcom (more on that later). From the moment they walked into Home Collective, they knew they were in the right place to bring that vision to life.
Just like a dream
Walking through Home Collective, Sian and Zac could instantly picture their future home coming together.
“I love Home Collective, it’s just like a dream, it’s so beautiful everything under one roof made it easy to envision what our home would look like.”
From finishes to fixtures, they got hands-on with the materials, pulling samples off the wall piecing them together to shape their home. The expert guidance and inviting atmosphere reassured them they had chosen the right builder to make it happen. But it wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about functionality, flow, and creating a home that was a little more them.
Fence friends
Finding the perfect block was a huge moment. Not only did it tick all the boxes, but it was right next door to some of their best mates—friends they had met thanks to their dog! With their homes side by side, the plan for shared backyard hangs and an open fence for their dogs to roam freely quickly took shape.
“Our future is going to be a bit sitcom-esque. Where all your friends live together, and you can just walk into each other’s houses. I mean, it’s a good job we like them.”
Homework that’s fun
Japandi-inspired and light-filled, Sian and Zac’s dream home is all about warmth and natural flow. They wanted a space that felt open, connected, and effortlessly stylish—without losing the personal touches that made it theirs. With the guidance of their expert selection’s consultant at Home Collective, the selections process felt seamless. When it came to the finishing touches, they found inspiration everywhere.
“Our bathroom is almost an exact replica of one of the displays!”
For anyone navigating the home design and selection process, Sian has one key piece of advice:
“Do the homework-spend time on the Hub, really go through everything. We really benefited from writing things down and coming in prepared”
Stay tuned
This is just the beginning of Sian and Zac’s journey. Now as their build takes shape we’ll be checking in as their new home comes to life and excitement grows. From construction milestones to move-in day, keep an eye out for Part Two!
