Most popular elevation
Your favourite Signature Series home elevation for 2022 is the Modern Classic. This 3-panel window design helps to inject natural light into your space while watching the world go by. Plus, you can choose an awning window to let that fresh air through your home. The Ascot elevation was your favourite for our Ultimate Series homes. Similar in design to the Modern Classic, this elevation lets in natural light through large panel windows with an added central feature of render and tiles for a classic look.
Most popular suburbs
The age-old debate of North & South of Perth, we have a winner for each! The most loved suburb in Perth’s North is Eglinton. This suburb offers luxury coastal living without the beachfront price tag that you’d expect and a future transport link that helps homeowners stay connected to the rest of Perth. For the second year in a row, Baldivis is the favourite suburb south of Perth. Great for couples and growing families, Baldivis is the perfect combination of nature and community with established trees and parks to explore. Special mention goes to Bennett Springs, bordering Whiteman Park giving homeowners here ample space to relax, enjoy and explore. Check out home & land packages in these sought-after suburbs here.
Most loved interior selections
Modern-coastal inspired selections won your hearts in 2022. Crisp whites, neutral tones and wood accents were all the rave, taking cues from the natural environment. Floral White was the most popular Wattyl interior paint colour, which maximises any space and optimises natural light. To no surprise, white cabinets and subway tiles were top picks, and the most loved benchtop was Caesarstone ‘Snow’. We love these selections too! True to the modern-coastal aesthetic, we saw a lot of timber being incorporated into your selections throughout the year. Polytec ‘Boston Oak Woodmatt’ was a highly popular bathroom vanity pick, and you loved ‘Natural Oak’ hybrid flooring. Kovatech Deluxe ‘Invisible’ carpet and Belga ‘Grey Matt’ tiles Greys were all the hype with alternative flooring.
Most popular exterior selections
Boosting energy efficiency was the talk of the town this year, and the most loved selections can attest to that. Exterior colours were carefully considered in addition to airflow, home layout and insultation to make a home cooler and more energy efficient. As voted by you throughout 2022, the most loved roof and garage door colour was Colorbond® ‘Surfmist’ which comes as no surprise given light coloured materials store less heat throughout the day. The top three render colours are ‘Tranquil Retreat’, ‘Terrace White’ and ‘Whisper White’ which are popular neutrals from Dulux. Loongana Limestone was the most loved brick, and these tones were carried through to the pavers with ‘Grey’ taking top spot from the Masterpave Collection.
Most loved room
According to new home buyers, an open plan living space is highly valued when choosing a home design. This concept encourages a more social lifestyle with your loved ones, not to mention it makes your home feel brighter and more spacious. Whether you are helping the kids with homework or binging a Netflix series whilst cooking up a storm, an open plan living space brings the whole family together!
